To ensure effective prevention and redressal of ragging-related issues, the college has constituted an Anti-Ragging Committee, which functions in accordance with the guidelines issued by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and other statutory bodies.

Objectives of the Anti-Ragging Committee

  • To prevent and prohibit ragging in any form within the campus and hostels.
  • To create awareness among students about the legal consequences of ragging.
  • To ensure a friendly and secure environment for freshers.
  • To promptly address and resolve complaints related to ragging.
  • To promote mutual respect, discipline, and harmonious coexistence among students.

Functions of the Committee

  • Conduct orientation and awareness programs on anti-ragging measures.
  • Ensure compliance with UGC anti-ragging guidelines.
  • Monitor student activities within the campus.
  • Provide a platform for students to report incidents confidentially.
  • Take prompt and appropriate action against those involved in ragging.
  • Coordinate with local administration, if required.

Anti-Ragging Measures at Vinayak Vidyapeeth

  • Display of anti-ragging notices at prominent places on campus.
  • Mandatory anti-ragging undertaking by students and parents at the time of admission.
  • Regular monitoring by faculty members and administrative staff.
  • Encouragement of a mentoring system to support new students.
